to make a long story very short, I was camping about 3 hours from my home when i went into preterm labor, after two long days in two different hospitals, i was finally discharged with strict orders of bedrest, bedrest, bedrest. Now, two weeks later i am 30 weeks, going on 31, and my pelvic area is hurting, And my stomach feels low and heavy. i get what feels like contractions again, but I'm not totally sure. This is my first baby so I'm new at all of this.

Can anyone help me? :s

  1. I think you should really contact your doctor it could be the start of labor again..

  2. There are many things you can do to prevent premature labor. Every time you feel contractions coming on reach for a high protein snack, drink a glass of water and sit or lay down for a rest. This should stop or slow the contractions. Some other things are listed on the page below. Telephone your doctor or midwife with any changes in your health. Best wishes, G

  3. Yes you can be in labor. You need to go to the ER Now! Don't let them scare in not going to the ER. If you feel pain in your pelvic area then you need to be seen. It never hurts to be safe. GOOD LUCK!

  4. with my second at 7 months i got put on bed rest she came 2 1/2 weeks early. with my third was bedrest at 34 weeks and gave birth 35 1/2 weeks. you can only delay labor but if it is real it will come.
