  1. Angel, I hate to disappoint, but this is the saddest place I have ever been.

Your journey begins with a long and tedious drive through the mountains and trailer parks of the once proud native Americans, who now live in the middle of nowhere and own shops that sell carvings and knives.  In fact every shop that you drive past on the way in appears to sell XXXX and knives.  It doesn't matter what XXXX is, the other thing the store sells is knives.  It's like "Indian rugs and KNIVES" and "Beer and KNIVES" and "Maps of the area and KNIVES."

Once you drive past all the poverty of the region you arrive at a casino in the middle of nowhere.  You park and take the escalator down to the gaming floor.

As you take the long ride down to the gaming floor, you will notice all kinds of posters of toothless hicks who won money there.  "Dwayne Shane won $900!"  "Cheryl Cletus win $1,200!"

As you take the escalator of shame, you will notice that no one they advertised won any real money, and they all looked as if they had a piece of their soul removed before the picture was taken.

Once you get into the casino, you will realized that it is not a real casino.  It is what other countries call an amusement arcade.  It is a bunch of very old, boring crappy slot machines.  And just to take away every ounce of fun, there are no 'wheels of chance' 'dice' or 'playing cards' allowed.  So the slots and poker slots are all video based.  And they all suck.

If you play a table game it is also c**p.  They have diceless craps and cardless Blackjack.  When I was there I played five hands at the casino minimum of $15 a hand, and in those five hands the dealer got 21 three times!

So my wife and I went to the buffet.  It was like they had taken some crack heads, and some former Golden Coral employees to put it together.  The crack heads came up with the pricing, because really you'd have to be desperate and on crack to think you were getting a good value.

They also had a 'high end' steak house.  It was over $30 for a meal, and frankly, I doubt it was worth it.

I've been to casinos in Vancouver Canada, Vegas, Atlantic City, and England, and I can honestly say I have never been less impressed.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unless you are severely retarded, you won't be having fun there.

As for your questions.  I think they might have free drinks, but they are non-alcoholic, and of course you are pretty much obligated to give a $1 tip.  So basically your 'free' drinks are soft drinks and cost $1 each.

The restaurants, I've covered.  But it is basically an overpriced steak house or a crappy buffet that is overpriced.

As for a card, you can get a Harrahs playing card.  This can be used at any Harrahs casino, and that's a lot of places.  If you spend plenty of time playing, they will give you free stuff.  But sadly at Cherokee, there is nothing they offer for free that you are likely to want.  But it's still worth using the card.  You never know if you might go to a real casino owned by Harrahs one day and can use the points there.
