  1. Public Holidays in the UK are always a Monday, except Good Friday, and 25th & 26th December and 1st January (unless they happen to fall on a Monday).

    Saturdays are never public holidays.

  3. Easter Saturday is not a public holiday. It celebrates nothing special, they all thought Jesus was dead and buried.

  4. yep, sorry, it falls right in the middle of easter and its bank holidays  but it's not one itself

    i used to work in a library - we'd get friday and monday off, but you could be unlucky and have to work the saturday, ruining the longest bank holiday weekend!

  5. That is correct.  

    Good Friday an Easter Monday are Public Holidays, but Saturday is not and never has been in the UK.
