Has anyone worked for Advanis Inc. as a mystery shopper? They say they're located in Canada.?

Is this company real or a fraud? Do they actually pay?

Did you contact MysteryShop.org?  They monitor Mystery Shopping businesses.

Go to:  MysteryShop.org, post your question and see if other shoppers have had problems.  

You can also look on the Mystery Shopping list on Mystery Shop.org to see if the company is listed.  If they are in Canada, they may or may not be listed.  

As you know Mystery Shopping is a legitimate businesses, and sometimes there are problems.

Advanis is a market research firm based out of Edmonton, Alberta Canada.  I did a little work for them doing telephone customer satisfaction surveys.  I got paid every two weeks like clockwork.

Most of these types of offers are scams. You have to use your own sound judgement. You need to look out for a few things, like an offer too good to be true. ($500 a week?! No experience?! Start now!? Get your head out your a**) Also, shoddy, or no website (which, actually the company didn't have; they had a nice flash-based one) because they usually can't afford it, or don't want to be traced. Also, I didn't find anything on google, but you should also check your local BBB to see their history. In additon, find out what year the company was formed. If it is very recent, then it is definitely a scam. And finally, are they asking for private info, such as bank account numbers, social security, etc.? And if they ask you to send them money, that's a sure sign of a scam. Remember, always be wary, and i've noticed that Canadian scammers are usually a level up on the intelligence scale than their American counterparts.
