One thing I have noticed about our crazy changing society is the lack of customer service at most retail places today. Usually I try to work it out with the clerk or the on site manager but in most cases I get no where with the poorly trained on site staff. I wonder if I wrote the corporate office and submitted a complaint, I would get some results.

What are your experiences with offical complaints?

  1. I have filed complaints before with restaurants, Starbucks, BJ's Brewery, Chipolte, etc and I usually do so via internet through their websites. Most have a section that says "Contact Us" and I go from there. I get so tired of pathetic service every where, that I have taken it upon myself to ***** more. You pay an arm and leg for everything, it better be right, no exceptions!

  2. I've only written to Taco Bell, and the result was pathetic.  The first time, they sent a letter response that said with their millions of customers, mistakes would happen.  That was it.  No apology, no accountability.  The second time I wrote, I didn't get any response.  I don't know if other companies are any better.  I doubt it, since the corporate offices are the people setting the policies that allow hiring all the lousy store managers in the first place.

I think if you sent a letter by certified mail, you might get a better response because there is a legal record of the contact.
