  1. our son crawled off our bed (we didn't even know he was capable of crawling!!) and that was the end of cosleeping for us. You're not terrible...things happen. As long as the ER said she's fine, I wouldn't worry about it. Best of luck!

  2. How many times have you asked this question in the last few days? At least 3 that I have seen. Trust the ER that your child is find and quit guilt tripping yourself!

  3. As much as I hate to admit it, when we were staying at a hotel in MS my daughter rolled off of a really high bed. I freaked out, and immediately picked her up. She was crying of course, but after a few minutes she was fine. I cried longer than she did! I checked her over and she was fine, no blood or bruises. The next week I took her to the doctor for her 6 month checkup and I told him what happened. He even confessed that his first daughter took a tumble off of the bed too! That made me feel a little better... He told me that when a baby falls, if they hit their forehead, they back of their head that it's not as bad as say they hit the top of their hit or the sides. The skull is much thicker in the front and back. He told me that if she took another tumble to immediately look at the area that I think she hit, if it immediately started turning blue (not just red like a normal bump on the head) or if she was unresponsive, or if her pupils dilated abnormally to take her to the ER ASAP. Other than that kiss her tears, and hold back your own, because there are going to be lots of bumps and falls.

  4. it happens to almost everyone, when they suddenly realize hey my baby can roll! you'll just be more cautious in the future and be happy that your baby is okay!

  5. my boyfriend's mom has a queen size been my daughter falls off of it all the time. most of the time she does it for fun. she will be fine. so stop asking the same question over and over again she will be fine

  6. This happens to a lot of 1st time moms and dads. You think that the baby is not moving that much and then all of a sudden they are on the floor. This happened to me with my 1st child. I did not realize that although he did not crawl babies do wiggle around on the bed enough to fall off. I was upset and beside myself too, when I took him to the hospital. They said he was alright and to calm down, but it took me a week or two to calm down and to stop watching him all the time.

  7. your not a terrible mom, the fact that you are so worried shows that.

  8. All babies fall at one time or another. Any mom who says they got their child to age 1 without them falling is probably lying. Babies are so quick and mobile there isn't much you can do to stop them from falling. You took her to the ER. That shows you are a caring mom. Don't feel bad.
