My daughter is now 14 months old, she has had a runny nose and a post nasal drip for 3 months now which causes flem on her chest, meaning couching and not sleeping. Anyways, she was on two courses of antibiotics, so her Pead decided to take her up in the hospital to get antibiotics via drip, she still has a flemmy chest and coughs whilst she sleeps, I think it cause of sinus and the post nasal drip makes her cough, she is due to have her aneroids (hope that how you spell) on wednesday, will this stop the flem on her chest, and how does this op work, how long, is ot like grommets, quick in and quick out, and is it sore?

  1. My son had his removed and I don't know how to spell it either but thats close enough.

He had that out, tonsils and tubes all at the same time. having the aneroids out is quick about 15 mins. They will put her to sleep go into the nose and snip it out. They say that there may be some bleeding my son didn't. but i am sure it is sore. The hardest part is the 15 min wait while she will be a sleep and the day of the surgery because of the meds they give her to put her to sleep. The next day she will be fine.

This is funny they gave my son a med to keep him calm and not caring about what is going on around him. once it kicked in he looked up at me all drunk 'mama i feel good' real slow and drawn out. i will never forget that.

    Best wishes
