  1. November 5 1996:

President of Pakistan Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari dismisses the government of Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and dissolves the National Assembly of Pakistan - which im sure you won;t care about.

and 2006:Saddam Hussein, former president of Iraq, and his co-defendants Barzan Ibrahim al-Tikriti and Awad Hamed al-Bandar are sentenced to death in the al-Dujail trial for the role in the massacre of the 148 s**+'as in 1982.

  2. Well...... it was someones birthday, someone died, someone was born, someone had s...x, someone caught them and someone ate french fries.....somewhere....

  3. Guy Fawkes Day in England. Celebrates the foiling of the notorious Gunpowder Plot, in which a group of Catholic conspirators led by Guy Fawkes planned to blow up Parliament. They stored a lot of gunpowder in a storage basement they rented (not a very good security practice!) but were discovered before they could do anything. They were summarily hanged.

English children celebrate Guy Fawkes Day pretty much the same way that American children celebrate Hallowe'en, with the addition of big bonfires.

  4. Try searching that on wikipedia it has more info.

  6. "Remember, Remember the 5th of November, of gunpowder, treason, and plot. I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot."

November 5, 1605, a Englishman by the name of Guy Fakwes will try and blow up the Parliament building in London. He will be caught, he will be killed, and his body to this day is still burned in effigy every November 5th. (Which is called Bonfire Night in England.)

All of this stuff will later be used by Alan Moore on his fantastic book "V for Vendetta" down to V blowing up Parliament, and wearing a Guy Fawkes mask.
