  1. YES

  2. Definitely NOT!

Of course I have suffered temporary setbacks in my life as a result of not being as negatively agressive as I could have been in trying situations!  Who hasn't?

After the dust settles and the anger cools, though, I rarely ever regret "being nice".

However, when I pass up a solid opportunity to "be nice' and take a more negative course of action, I almost ALWAYS regret it.

The bottom line is that I have to live with myself!  Any temporary disadvantages I may incur are more than offset by the inner feeling that, at best, I did the RIGHT thing - or, at the very least, declined to do the WRONG thing.

  3. Definately yes! People tend to take advantage of you when you're nice and often they don't return the favor (being nice that is). In fact, I've been working on bringing out my "inner b*t*h" because being nice all the time is getting old!

  4. All in all I think being nice has a lot more benefits than being the b*!ch that tells it like it is all the time.

Nice gets you the benefit of the doubt.

Nice gets you more patience from the person behind the register.

Nice gets you out of tense situations because you don't make it worse.

    Nice works for me!

  5. Nope.

  6. Being nice has never put me in any disadvantage and I don't feel bad. It really matters on the people whom you surround yourself with or the situation you are in. Say you choose to be around friends who are mean. Say they like to steal, fight and were raised in the hood. If you try to be nice to them, you will be put down immediately because that is not their character. If you play basketball but choose to be nice in how you shoot shots or bounce the ball, you will be cut because that sport requires aggressiveness. To tell you the truth, it matters on the situation you are in. There are times you can be nice and there are times you shouldn't.
