Has casting for New Moon Began.. for the minor characters?

Summit is probably waiting to see how Twilight does at the box office before they start working on New Moon. If it does get the green light, and writing, location choosing (italy?)etc. starts then casting will begin a little while after that. Because New Moon doesn't have many new characters, the casting period will most probably be very brief. If you have an agent, I would suggest that you tell him/her that they sould be on the look out for casting calls and things of that nature (sending in a heatshot and resume etc.) for New Moon or even just for Summit in general. If you don't have an agent, try contacting Summit after Twilight comes out (wether it does well or not, they could try to make New Moon anyway) and ask them about casting. You might even want to try and contact the office of the casting director, or the casting director themself of Twilight (you can probably find out who they are through IMDb.com or definatly in the closing/(maybe) opening credits of Twilight). If you contact them (casting people) and they are the ones casting New Moon, you would probably want to ask them if you should send your headshot/resume into them. If you do get an audition, or are able to send in your resume/headshot, you will need to make it clear that you either don't have an Aussie accent, or you can do an American accent really well. If you have one, or don't know how to do a really convincing American one, they are MUCH MUCH less likely to hire you (sorry, but it's true. Just from a budget standpoint. They don't want to have to pay for an accent coach for supporting characters when they can just as easily cast someone with no accent.).

They are still unsure whether they are planning on making second/third/fourth movies. It will probably be decided by the turnout of Twilight.
