Election are prominate by the rich and only two groups ever get elected democrates and republicans. Also we change are social status losing are basic langauge to become two langauge country our signs and instructions for things are even written in two langauges. While most of are manufactured goods come from forgein countries(mostly china). We struggle on little facts while are politicians do nothing but the same thing. Plus no control on our border policy. Also our gas and oil prices go up because our government doesn't want to touch or own natrual resources do to greed and environtmentalists. To protect from global warming. yet global warming was around since before man. Backed by scientifical facts.

  1. I change my mind.  I'm a Federalist.

  2. No, democracy has NOT failed the U.S. of A., because the U.S. is NOT now, nor has it ever been, a democracy. It was set up as a representative (Republican) government; i.e., we elect people to represent us.

Now, if you ask me if our Republican Government (NOT the same as Republican Party) has failed us, I will say, MOST DEFINITELY.

You have pointed out several problems in this country:

#1. The WEALTHY (I consider the middle class as being "rich"; if you pay income taxes to the feds, you are rich!)

#2. Language: there are mostly English/Spanish, yet if you go to the IRS, Social Security, many other Government places, have about 20 languages. Unless one is a Native American, they should learn English or leave.

#3. Imports: of course, there are two main reasons why we have so many imports: people want unrealistically high wages (through labor unions) that many businesses are forced to close; then, for a double-whammy, people want to BUY cheap goods, effectively wiping out almost all manufacturing goods produced in this country.

Then, for a TRIPLE-WHAMMY, Clinton signed the NAFTA, exporting so many of our jobs.

#4. Our Liberal Supreme Court not only allows Illegals into our country, but then has the gall to make them American citizens, with full rights.  Since many of my ancestors came here 3 - 4 centuries ago (and others were already here), I say no one of first generation should have full rights, and the second generation should not have full rights unless they serve in the military. We need border enforcement, but as long as the Supreme Court keeps giving the Illegals foodstamps, housing assistance, etc., etc., there will never be a stoppage to the Illegals.

#5. Gasoline prices are high because China & India now have such a hugh demand for gasoline; Americans waste so much, driving most of their miles just for the heck of it (cruising, making 5 - 6 trips to stores daily, driving ATVs, golf carts, snowmobiles up and down the road, etc., etc.); AND because of those SPECULATORS.

Has our Government failed us? Most definitely! We have a hugh national deficit; it is not because taxes aren't high enough, as almost half of a typical American's income goes to taxes. It is because people in Government (city, county, state, Federal) are so willing to spend someone else's money for stupidity.

What we need is for people to get riled up and DEMAND that something be done.

  3. so what, you are asking yourself why you haven't voted independent sooner? do not get me wrong, when i installed the ross perot signs in the front yard, the idiots kept tearing them down. and when i reported it they, whoever "they" are, did nothing !  so yea i know what you are saying.

  4. not the concept of democracy per se. it was not meant to be taken to an extreme. all thing in moderations. the fat cats have taken control of the "elected" politicians and feed us much bs and keep us in the dark, like mushrooms.

my congressman thinks i am a mushroom.

  5. the stupid guy that said NAFTA exports our jobs... you need help. The US does not export jobs to Canada or Mexico. It exports jobs to India and China.

  6. Yes.And it fails everywhere. We were a great nation because we were a constitional republic until 1933.Some could argue we lost it much sooner.

  7. American democracy is an on-going expiriment.  It is up to us to change it.
