I think it's great, and of course many people will find it offensive. However the point was to use humor and satire - to highlight fear mongering, propaganda and prejudice, particularly coming from the right wing spectrum

If you think it looks right, you have serious problems. Would you object to a picture of John McCain in an alzheimer's ward? A total lack of class by the New Yorker magazine and by approving of it, you paint yourself with the same brush. Shame on both of you! This is a prime example of "Yellow Journalism".

Well.....IF the New Yorker was like Mad magazine or some dark humor mag - this would be spot on. Even if they were doing an article on all the "off color" humor toons that have come about since Obama announced his candidacy I would understand this better.

Its a testament to free speech - and if the TRUE idea was to show just how far reaching the fear mongering has gone - then they should have saved the toons for the actual article inside with more examples.

BUT if you mean to say that this toon speaks truth -Obama is a muslim - what EXACTLY is wrong with that? We have had several Christian crooked & greedy politicians - so religion doesnt equate to trustworthiness. And Michelle as a radical militant - well - its no secret that she encountered prejudice and/or unpleasantries in her lifetime. Many minorities do - just because she is vocal about it DOESNT mean she is waiting to launch some anti-white person plan of attack. If thats the case - we better watch out for any Native Americans that get into office - you think Michelle has gripes - wait till you hear their stories....

REBUTTAL TO DETAILS: Actually, even if the terrorists feel Obama is passive - I doubt seriously that his cabinet, advisors & the general Congress would ALLOW him to jeopardize national security. ALL new presidents will have much work to do in being pro-active against future attacks - lest we forget that more popular, more "experienced" presidents fell asleep at the watch. No way should those 9/11 dudes have had the time, & resources to execute that travesty.  

And regarding Obama's "hate" for the whites - there is NOTHING wrong with disliking the whites who treated him unfair or unkind. Those experiences doesnt mean that he would have a BLANKET hatred for ALL whites. With your theory - we ( US citizens ) should hate ALL Saudis because of the actions of the few Saudis that committed 9/11.
