I am sure he rode  at chepstow over hurdles in one of those jump v flat match races Duffeild, Cochrane, rode to etc

I'm pretty sure he said he rode a horse over hurdles once and scared himself so much that he'd never do it again!

Quite a few jockeys (flat and NH) hunt during the winter - this is why many of them are such good-horseman.
