This is a really badly asked question. Civilizations are different than and largely unrelated to genetics.

The genetic markers found among Mayans indicate that their origins are far east Asian. The most typical markers are things like the shape of the teeth. Mayans tend to show the Asian type of tooth form. Many Mayans have a bit of epicanthic fold typical of Asians.

It is clear Mayans are of Asian origin.

Egyptians?

No, there are no genetic links between the Maya and the Egyptians except that both groups originally descended from Homo sapiens in Africa.  

An interesting side note, traces of cocaine have been discovered in at least one Egyptian mummy, indicating a link with the New World but this is extremely tenuous.

The only thing they had in common was that they built pyramids, which isn't as suggestive of a relationship as it sounds. A solid pyramid or cone is the easiest structure to build and the most stable, and when you're working with primitive construction techniques and building materials that's an important consideration. A pyramid is basically a natural shape for a giant monument build with primitive techniques and materials. I bet there are alien civilizations that build pyramids (and I don't mean because they taught us how to do it).

not even the pyramids prove a link! they are built in different styles and for different reasons: the egyptians built them for their pharoahs to being their journey to the after life. the maya used them for religious ceremonies and astronomy.

No, not at all.  The Y Chromosome (Male linage) is haplogroup Q3 for American Indians.  The North Africans are are J & some J1.   MtDNA (female X chromosome) is  A thru D & X for Native Americans.  A-D is of North Asian Origin, but X came from ancient Eurasia & is also found in Europe.

In short Europeans are closer to North American Indians genetically than Egyptians are.  However Mayans don't have any X MtDNA to my knowledge.
