  1. I think it is the other way around--- several times in Earth's history good old "mother nature" managed to kill off almost all life forms on Earth and in the sea!

Check out the Permian extinction event.

  2. I don't think humans have become an enemy of mother nature, as an object, but certainly of the environment and nature in general.  Think about what the planet would look like if we never came around.

Who's to say the changes we have made are all good ones, they certainly aren't all bad, but it is impossible to say that humans have not had a detrimental impact on this planet.

Think about human caused pollution....chemical dumping, litter, air pollution its all man-made.  There is no such thing as pollution in a human-less world.  (Dont say volcanos because thats a natural process and by definition not pollution).  WE have definitely impacted Earth negatively from the way it was, and will be long after we are gone.....

People can and will argue me this until they are drowned by the waste and refuse created by humans....

The only solace here is knowing that the Earth will surely expel the great stress of humans at some point and continue on long after we are gone

  3. Yeah with 6 billion of us.

  4. There is no Mother nature.  That is a myth.  The earth is a giant ball of rock with an nickel iron core and an atmosphere of mostly nitrogen, oxygen, CO2 and other gases.  There is a biosphere yet no MOTHER NATURE.   There is no place for her in science.

  5. There is no "Mother Nature".  It's as silly as personifying your house or town.  One does not declare war (rationally) on inanimate objects.  It would be interesting to note:  The environment/planet has killed off more humans than planets we've "killed".

  6. There is no mother nature.

  7. Plagues come from nature and Nature tends to deal with them in the end

  10. geez, another question that is obviously the result of a public school education-pathetic!
