I don't worry so much about some nut in the police department coming after me. I do worry about some nut on Yahoo! Answers tracking me down because I disagreed with them. Lots of nut jobs on this site (no reflection on the person asking this question which I starred).

Not police department, but I work in a probation office... a felony probation office.  Whenever an officer brings back one of the offenders and he/she gets agitated because he/she has an active warrant out so he/she is going to get arrested, and the office supervisor and numerous officers crowd the particular cubicle to keep the offender from escaping, I have a mini panic attack.  We don't have a metal detector here, as I think we should, so for all we know, one of these jackasses could be packing a piece.

... Well since most cops are trained to fire with accuracy and one bullet usually stops any person.... I believe they have a good chance of killing the person before he could do much harm.

We have several Kingsh*t attitude cops around...one can only hope none of them ever snaps....it is a concern though!

ANYONE could 'snap' and come after someone.  I just don't worry about my local police department.
