Question:

Has my 3 year old girl got growing pains? please help!!!?

every night for the past 4 week my little girl keeps waking in the night complaining that her legs are hurting her, you can see that shes in a lot of pain , i presume its growing pains as her dad also said he used to get them and apparently the ages to get them is between 3--5 years and 8-12 and shes 3 and a half now, has any1 got any suggestions or ideas on how to make her feel better? thank you in advance x

  1. Hey, I do know growing pains are quite common. I remember getting them as a kid. The only difference is that I would get them (or notice them) whilst falling asleep. They were never actually painful enough to waken me. It does sound a bit concerning, I would take your girl to a doctor and get her checked. Especially since it's disturbing her sleep.

    Hope she's better soon.  


  2. I went through the same thing with my daughter. And like your situation her dad also had them when he was a boy. I gave her children's Tylenol and warm baths. Her pains were in her knees. This seemed to help. Her pains scared me so much at first that I took her to the doctor and had x-rays done.

  3. have you heard of Arnica Gel, i used it on my growing pains it cools and sooths the pain! Good Stuff..
