Last night on day 7 past embryo transfer I did a home preg test. It showed a second faint line. Excited I may be pregnant I did another tonight to see if second line was stronger but it was weaker! I get my blood test at the clinic this Friday in 3 days time. Am I preparing for

the worse or has anybody out there done same as me but then found

out they were pregnant??!

  1. its vry earlier to say tht IITS A FAILURE,stay relax.i can feel tht ths waitng time is vry painful.INSHALLAH things wll get better for u.

  2. Everything that I've read says that HPTs are not accurate for IVF patients so please do not set yourself up for the worst possible outcome.. Just try to relax and wait until Friday.. Believe me, I know how it is to have to wait for the test..Mine is tomorrow and I'm about to go crazy.. But I just occupy my mind with other things.. Makes the wait go by much quicker (which it honestly has) and allows me not to stress about the outcome so much.. Best of luck to you.. but calm down and relax.. if oyu are pregnant, your stress=baby's stress..

  3. hi just wanted to wish you the best of luck hun xx

    i always go to fertillyfreinds.co.uk

    goodluck x*x

  4. What times did you test? did you drink more today then you did yesterday, The HCG could of been more diluted today then yesterday, You're better off testing first thing in the morning with FMU.

Did you get the HCG shot with the transfer? that could give a false +,Like someone said above, expect the worse but pray for the best.

Good Luck to you, hope it does stick

  5. (((HUGS)))  It is still too early to say either way . . . did you do a 3 day transfer or a 5 day transfer?  If it was a 3 day transfer, you would be about 10 days past ovulation and it would definitely be on the early side while 5 day blastocyst would put you closer to the 12 day mark . . .

The faint positive could very well be an early positive - although you probably had an hcg trigger shot, it should be out of your system by now . . . the second test could be due to the fact you took it later in the day and may have recently emptied your bladder or had a lot of fluids weakening the concentration of hcg in your system.

I would do my best to stay positive and wait for the blood test!  We did an IVF cycle at the end of December 07 and got our results in January.  I had to force myself to not test early because I did not want to find myself in this am I or am I not situation . . . I will say that on the day of my blood test I had cramps, bloating, was irritable had a bit of spotting and thought for sure that I had failed . . . it was a shock when the blood test came back positive.

Basically, you never can be sure until you get your blood test results.

Sending you baby dust, sticky vibes and positive thoughts!

  6. arent you given an hcg shot so the uterus will think its pregnant? and isnt that hcg the thing the p.g. tests are looking for?

expect the worst, but pray for the best.

Im wishing you the best. Just said a prayer for you too hon, good luck.!
