I breed dwarf lop rabbits, and last year i got a mini lop buck,he is a year and a half and so lovely(in fact on of my fave bucks) and he has had no problems since i got him,and now suddenly he has gone very quiet and and he is fairly cool, but i have checked him ALL over and he has NO signs of flu!. Like normally when i come to feed him hes up against the cage wire waiting to come out,but today he was just sat there and when i put in his food he had a little and then sat down again that so isn't him! I normally don't take them to the vets UNLESS its really needed as i treat them well and they are then fine again, but i have not come across this before and i am a bit worried about him! By the way,i am only 14 years old and care for my pets VERY WELL, so please DON'T email stupid or useless answers. As i AM prepeared to take him to the vets if needed,as i love him so much(as with my other pets). Thanks!

  1. you are saying he is not as active as normal and not eating very well? is there any other simptoms? sneezing, caughing, or less p**p or the dropings looking diffrent then before? If he is still eating fine then I would look at heat as a possability...has it been warmer then normal where he is kept..also he could possibly be bored try giving him some toys...but a lot of times with his being less active means he is not eating well and that normaly points to wool block.

  2. Signs of a cold or virus are sneezing and white discharge from the nose.
