  1. No, it's made white people more fearful that they are somehow being maligned and taken advantage of. "You take away my right to make racist jokes in public, that's fascism!". Many white people tend to resent anything that isn't explicitly about them, for example, the old "Well, there's no WHITE History Month and there's no WHITE Entertainment Television", etc.

Maybe white people do have a point, though. I often propose a bargain. "Fine, you want to have the WAACP, ok. You and your family go be slaves for a hundred or so years. After you become emancipated, THEN you can have your WAACP." Not surprisingly, this proposal is always rejected.

  2. it has not helped here so why would it work anywhere else??

  3. No, Education has seemed to be the only tool that has been effective in this endeavor.

  4. I don't think so.PC, in my opinion is nothing more than a way to infringe on freedom of speech. What one says and what one thinks are  two entirely separate things.

  5. No it has increased it ten fold.

  6. has it h**l. in my experience its made things worse because its made the race issue even more of a taboo. it has also made white people feel hard done by.

for example, in here england there have been instances where the english flag has been banned from being displayed, for fear of it offending 'minority' groups, which can have no positive effect on the way white people see those groups.

  7. I have never heard so much about racism as I have this past year,if you say anything someone doesent agree with you are labled racist.

"In rational debate, the argument against something is that it is false not that it is hurtful. But political correctness has poisoned the climate for dealing with difficult issues and has returned us to the days when a sufficient counter-argument was that an idea was contrary to doctrine. A democracy that cannot tolerate debate on controversial issues cannot function." ~Tom Tancredo ~

  8. No.  If anything it has hurt race relations.

  9. No, it did not decrease racism.

  10. No because racism and being PC are too totally different things... I think PC has helped enable people to be overly sensitive though... :/

A person can still be a racist and be PC about it...
