obviously part of status of 2007 and 2008 had to do with how Bush conducted his job during those first years. So, has Bush been a good president?, and how how what role did Congress of 2001 through 2006 play in the Bush legacy?

  1. I look at one issue, an issue we should trust our leaders about, and one where we were deceived and lied into a very bad decision.

  2. He has been a horrible President. He started a war based on false intelligence and did not have any plan for a long occupation of the country. He and his advisors stated that we would be greeted as liberators in Iraq, while any logical person knew otherwise. His administration outed a CIA officer for political reasons because the officers husband had wrote a critical piece about the Iraq war intelligence (he piece was proven to be correct). His administration has taken a surplus in the national budget to an over 1 trillion dollar defecit. Since taking office gas prices have almost tripled. He and his administration got laws passed to illegally wiretap American citizens thus violating the 4th amendment. He failed to catch Osama Bin Laden, the mastermind behind 9/11. There are so many things he did wrong I could sit here all day listing them all.

  3. i think bush is dumb but ... he did handle 9/11 well and think about the consiquences if we didn't move into those countries with nucleur bombs and such violence. who knows... we could have had more/worst bombings and violent acts.

  4. NO

  5. He's a Republican, so no.

  6. Bush will go down in history as the WORST President the United States people ever elected - to date. His war-mongering has put American taxpayers TRILLIONS of dollars in debt. His reckless economic policies has ruined the U.S. economy. His pro-big-business stance has allowed corporations (especially "Big OIL") to fix prices, gouge customers and manipulate markets to their own advantage. His foreign policies has tarnished America's reputation as a world leader and global peacekeeper. His neglect and ignorance of environmental issues has helped to let the planet spiral further downward into an ecological abyss from which we might never recover. But, in Bush's defense: it's really not his fault. He is nothing more than a puppet dangling from d**k Cheney's strings. Cheney is in control, and his service is only to those wealthy elitists, oil barons, industrialists and power brokers who 'selected' the Bush/Cheney gang to 'lead' this nation into bankruptcy. -RKO-  06/25/08

  7. Ha Ha, he has been a good a*****e

  8. We need to wait tell he is out of office and the passion dies down before we can really study if he is a good president or not.

Right now mention his name liberals go through the roof before you can say anything.

I am going to wait when calmer head prevail.

  9. No! never was, and never will be. He just......sucks!

  10. Everyone on here is going to disagree but I think he did okay. NOT good, just okay.

I think this because Gore already has mentioned he would have went to war too...so we would still be in this boat. Also if you think back to all the stuff that has happened in his term compared to a previous president like Clinton it is a wonder how Bush hasn't just abandoned office.

He has had to deal with two of the nations biggest disasters...9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. He's also been involved in a full scale war and having to deal with a falling economy and critics daily.

I'm not saying the economy and such isn't a huge part his fault but If everyone remembers...Bush is only 1/3 of government.

NOT all government. Remember there is a Democratic congress and a judicial court that helps run this country. I think he's definitely not perfect or a great president who will be always remembered but people seem to hate him just to hate him and because everyone else does. I think he's done a fair job and it's time for him to leave office.

The national debt will always rise too. It has been for a long time and the national debt is posing no problem to the nation because it is a debt we own to ourselves that we cannont pay  back all at once because it would cause ridiculous inflation.

But everyone has their own opinions this was just mine :)

  11. I KNOWN THAT H E IS DOING A LOT OF SAD TO IRAN AND

IRAC  SO HE IS A NOT GOOD PERSON

  12. Absolutely. He's not been the best, but nowhere near the worst. It's very tough to run a country of free spirits. The USA has had to come to grips with the outside world flexing it's muscles. The inertia we have had from the winning of 2 world wars is fading. As you allude, Congress is involved too. I would put forth the idea that Congress has more to do with the course of the country than the President does, and by a wide margin. Crush that up in your pipe and smoke it!

  13. Bush is a good president but only being a good person is not a

main thing one should be perfect in this field because he has a responsibility of the whole country .
