  1. We all think technology improved life a lot. But when i read the question, something else came to my mind. What if technology haven't improved this extent ? how would have been our life ??

We say technology is so improved now, that we have mobile phones, and we can be in constant touch with our loved ones.

But what makes us far from our loved ones ? may be, the same technology , ??? at least for me.... i am working far away from my home, (here in this software development firm, i am improving the technology !!) , and that makes me to use mobile... what if our world was so small.... that u ll be always   near to your loved ones, living a pleasant life...  May be,  such a person, may not need all these technologies...  like the life of a human, some centuries past.. wont he be happy ?

if the best thing in life is happiness and satisfaction, is technology  really necessary  in life ?

did technology made life better , other than helping some people to make lot of money,  which never gave them happiness ??

Now, if you say about the improvements in science, and the way it reveals nature, and thus increase in knowledge of human.... ok.. seems good.. But i doubt however science improves, i doubt it will be able to explain the questions almost everyone have, about nature, life, and existence of life etc etc..

I am not able to conclude anything... May be i ll come back, with better idea later !!

  2. I agree with the  guy above me

Human is too depend on technology just to please their self

    1. Vehicle cause our body weaker as we seldom do exercise

    2. Air - conditioner cause our bone weaker and dehydrate

    3. Smoke cause us die younger as the cell is keep Dying

  3. The day the wheel was invented  I'd bet one person listed what was wrong with it and the person to the side found a way get it to do so part of a mundane job.

"It's our choices that make us who we are Harry...."

  4. Worse because we are so dependent on technology that if something were to happen to it, we'd all die. Positive huh? But then again it has helped us maitain the enorous population on earth.

  5. I firmly believe that technology has permanently stifled our potential to evolve.  The human race will not evolve just so long as technology gets in the way of natural selection and forces those predestined to die to continue living and seeding the next generation

  6. It has made us lazier, weaker and dumber, but not better or worse, most people, especially Europeans, have always been mean and nasty.  But not as mean and nasty as Europeans who pretty much have everyone beat when it comes to being mean and nasty.  Except for nerds; nerds are generally nice people.

If you exclude the "fat loud mouth" nerd, the most annoying of the nerd species, or the "fat intellectual bully" nerd, who is even more annoying.  As a general rule, skinny nerds tend to be nicer than fat nerds, but in the end as with other groups of people nerds ultimately run the gamut of "nice" and "mean."  Nerds even have, among their number, sociopaths and criminals, I believe the FBI and general pop culture calls them "hackers."  I'm talking the malicious type who destroy lives by sending wives bogus letters of a husband's adultery, or, who tamper with IRS computers and place innocent people millions of dollars into a bogus debt the IRS will think its real and not investigate because, well, they're the IRS.

    Ultimately though.....

Queen Theodora of Byzantium held castration parties.  The Medici's of Italy comissioned a carpenter to create a "raping chair," and yes, its exactly how it sounds.  Among the ancient Jordanians, the Nabateans, slaughtering little children amid an orgy of bodies was considered a "sacred duty."

So..... technology has made us lazier, weaker, and dumber, but hardly "better" or "worse."

    think about it.

  7. Technology has made the world both a better and worse place. Without technology people would be more active. On the other hand without technology people could not be using the Internet to communicate to one another, use a car, everything dealing with science and medicine also deals with technology as well.

Technology making the world a worse place could be an example of creating viruses, making people lazy, creating weapons to kill one another.

Each side of this topic can be turned against each other and be named as a positive or negative aspect. However Humanity will never give up technology for all that it has helped.
