  1. No. The 1st seed is always at the top half of the draw and the 2nd seed is always at the bottom half of the draw. They can only play at the finals.

  2. yeah

  3. Hehe yes sorry I read it to fast, thought you asked when was the last time they met in finals:P Anyway Cathalio is right.

  4. The answerers above miss-understood the question I think:

It is impossible to have the 1st seed to play the 2nd seed before the finals!

There are two boxes, in the first round: The first half, and the second half:

The first seed is in the top of the first half, and the second seed is on the bottom of the second box so they can only play in the finals of any grand slam tournaments!

  5. I studied some minutes the draws of the gentlemen (http://www.wimbledon.org/en_GB/scores/dr... I knew it all the time for the 1st and 2nd, but it is done also deliberately for let's say the first 10 seeds. They start out with four sections (1,2,3,4) of 32 players (16 matches), that means in total 128 players (64 matches). You'll find for instance seeds 3 (Djokovic) and 7(Nalbandian) also at the extremes within section 2. The best order with the highest statistic chance (odds?) to have excitement and beauty building up. Quite self-evident.

  6. No, they intentionally put the 1st seed on the top of the table and the 2nd seed on the bottom of the table. Hence, they will only meet at the final...
