  1. UHH... Duh... Of course it did because of their coats the people seek other Tigers like the white tiger and because of their coat and beautiful fur they are attractive to poachers and the last reason is because they steal so much cattle the farmers get their guns and 3, 2, 1 and BAAANNNGGGG!!!!!!!! Thats why people transfer tigers to zoos so they don't have to run and chase just to get food!!! SAVE THE TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STOP POACHING!!!!!!!!!!!!! Before there  used to be 20,000-200,000 tigers and now what happend because of POACHERS there is only  about 4,000 tigers left in the wild!!!!

  2. Yes, it has. The short answer. The long answer, although I do not have the exact numbers in front of me but can obtain them, there was like 400,000 then there were only 4,000 then 2,500, and then back up to 5,000. To put it into perspective if it were a line graph there would be a sharp and dramtic plunge, then a very small upward trend as the population started to recover just slightly in recent years. If that answer is unsufficient I can obtain actual numbers but the overall thrust is: a sharp, sharp decline, followed by a minature recovery.

It went from threatened status to endangered status and critically endangered status.
