Has the Blackberry 9000/Bold been released yet?

I am going to buy it, but when I last read it said it was going to be released in late July but now it almost being September I was wondering.

It is available in Canada with the Rogers network.  I've been following this phone also because my Blackberry Pearl is on it's last legs.  I don't want to get a Curve when the bold is around the corner.  My understanding is that the Bold has not been introduced in the USA market because it will compete too closely with the Curve that was just released this year.  The earliest release date I have found says January 2009 with T-mobile.
