Has the D.O.J.really become just the body of our American Elite vying to control and ruin the country?

...I mean they stopped acting on behalf of the nation the day they decided to follow the will of the politicians instead of the will of the people.Is this a fair assessment?Why don't we have attorney generals following up on what is wrong and correcting it-instead they do what their told?Are they weak men or greedy one's?

The D.O.J. has been wounded by the Bush administration with appointments of incompetents and cronies. Career Justice dept. employees do a good job. The neo cons want to ruin government in the eyes of the people because it reins in their corrupt desires. Same with FEMA, FBI, CIA, Departments of ag, interior, commerce. Incompetent management and reduced funding and staff will make any agency of the US look bad.....Electing Obama would change these practices in a heartbeat.

DOJ is a political arm of the executive government regarding high profile cases.  Thus, it is deemed to serve the interests of the politicians and not of the people.
