Has the DVR changed your life?

Question

Do you use your DVR all the time? Do you use it mainly to pause programming or to record? We are finally adding it to our cable service and I am so excited about never having to use my VCR again.

Totally and completely!  I spend so much less time watching TV now, and I have not seen a commercial in months.  I don't accidentally start watching something because it comes on right after what I was watching and I haven't felt I absolutely needed to buy something because I saw it advertised.

I record everything I want to watch, hardly ever sit down when the show actually starts.  The most wonderful thing is being able to start watching something while it is still recording, instead of having to wait, then rewind, etc.  It can cut your TV watching in more than half and you totally control when you watch your shows.

Yes, absolutely. The TV Network execs no longer decide when you watch your favorite shows. You will be in total control for the first time in your life.  

I mostly watch recorded shows, with no ads, and in half the time!!, but I also watch live TV such as the morning news. It is nice to quickly review the last few seconds if you missed something, or to pause live TV when someone calls and then you can skip the ads to catch up. Enjoy!
