Im pushing 40. I have always voted and always voted Democrat. But over the last couple years things have changed. The more and more i see of Obama the more i get turned off not only by him but also the entire democrat party. Nancy Pelosi-Harry Reid-the whole bunch. This just does not seem to be the same democratic party i supported through the 80s and 90s. Or are they exactly the same as they always have been and i have just woken up to the fact that they are not for me?

  1. You have been transported to another planet which is a facsimile of the old planet earth.

It was done while you were asleep a number of years ago one night.

The democrat party we have here is very different from the one you have there.

  2. So, you were happy with the last eight years?  Bush and the Republicans have 'the little guy's' interests at heart, right?

  3. It is neither you nor the Democratic party.  It it the perception you are getting from the propaganda from the right filling every ones minds with misinformation, half truths, and out and out lies.  The propaganda from the right has increased about ten thousand fold in the last ten years.

you need to wake up to that reality.

  4. The democrats used to be the party of the people. They are no longer that.

Now since they have joined with george soros and gang they are bordering socialist and marxists.

  5. the democratic party really has not been for the people since JFK.

  6. Hey, I'm a few years older, and I supported them through the 80's and 90's too.  Now I can't relate to anything about them - in particular their ideas of "values".  Ick.

They have gone to the extreme left, and socialism has ceased to be a four-letter word, unfortunately.

    Translation:  it isn't you.

  7. It's not you. The party certainly isn't the 'protect the little guy' party it was. They have become a ridiculous group of elitists. Unfortunately, the far left environmentalists have taken over the party. As for the hypocrisy- Al Gore touts his environmentalism, yet flies in his personal jet. of course he does buy "carbon credits," but they are from his own company. He's saving the world by investing- and encouraging others to invest- in his own company? Also, the DNC has given all the homeless in Denver movie tickets and Zoo passes so they won't be seen by those attending the convention. out of sight out of mind I guess. The party of the little guy? Not anymore.

  8. Yes, it has.  You and I are in the same boat. I've also been voting democrat for the past couple of decades.  However, I've really noticing a marked difference between the party I used to know and love and the current one.  I've noticed a great deal of bias and hypocrisy in the party this year. Obama/Pelosi/Reid need to start their own party and leave the rest of us to live in peace.  Obama is a fraud through and through.

  9. They have gotten more radical, but they are still demorats.

  10. No it is the party. My mom and her siblings have always voted Democrat before , but are all voting Republican. They feel the Democratic Party is no longer the working class party.

  11. with teddy kennedy speaking    its same ole same ole   sorry to burst your bubble

  12. I see people who have a high level of integrity. We are going to see what we are feeling about life. It doesn't matter whether they changed or not. If you are a certain way you will see it in your candidate. So as you change it will see like they change.

  13. You missed the boat.  You should have been complaining 16 years ago.  Go back to sleep.

  14. both parties have changed, neither one represents the interests of the american people anymore. time to look into 'third' parties.

  15. The Deomcrat party has changed.  "Change" is ther platform this year.  It has but one word. Haven't you heard?

  16. Yes they have changed, the extreme left wing has taken over the Dems party, look at the leaders you mentioned Reid and Pelosi are left wing loons and are running the congress. And now the Dems put up the most liberal senator for president and the 3 rd most liberal senator for VP, does not seem to be room for moderates in the Democratic party any more.

  17. In small but significant ways the party has changed but as you learn more and more about certain people your opinion may change so it could just be Obama

  18. The democrat party has been changing since the 60s.  The difference you see since the 80s and 90s is that today, democrats no longer hide their liberal stance.  Clinton was a genius at disguising his liberal ideology, calling himself a 'New Democrat.'  Obama doesn't even bother to try and hide it.

  19. Ronald Reagan said the Democratic Party left him, not the other way around.

Martin Luther King would be a Republican today if you studied his ideology, and the same is true for JFK...in fact someone was going over JFK's platform today with me:  Lower taxes, reduce the size of government, pro life, and by all means WIN the war.  Shocking.
