oh jeez, i hope not.

i think most of it stems from lack of esteem, and the want or sense of need to stand out in a crowd.

and, emo happens to be one of the "trends" so attention deprived teenagers + everyone emo = a generation of black and bright colored haired people sporting TIGHT jeans and solemn expressions. =)

well, its not really goth emo.  its SCENE EMO.  there really is a differance

and i agree with the person above me.  the scene style has hit walmart.  it will all be over soon.  once walmart starts carrying a certain hit style, its usually over, or near over

Ha! It wont ever go away.Im mid 30's and was goth,then it faded away and my god it came back!! Might I also say that wow!! its so acceptable now too. I go in my local shop and am served by these girls with peircings and purple hair and razor blade necklaces. In the early 90's people would cross the road to avoid me!! LOL and I couldnt even dream of going to work like that!!

I think it might finally be beginning to taper off. Once the big department stores get ahold of a trend (Walmart, Kohls, Target, Kmart, etc) and start to copy it and market it, kids start to dislike it and label it as teenybopper stuff that they're no longer interested in. Soon enough there'll be a new fad kids will be all over. I wonder what it will be?

i just dyed my bangs pink and i like the look .

but if you dont like the style ,

it really shouldnt matter as long as you wear what you want to wear ,

Not into the goth thing, but emo guys r the cutest! I don't like the whole emo act, but i like the look.
