  1. I just read what you read but if they want to hire him I'm all for it.  He's a great driver in less then spectacular equipment.

  2. thats what that team needs to s***w it up!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. So many rumors get started with someone is thinking about leaving a team. Last season everyone had Jr. going to about every team in NASCAR, other than Hendrick, but that's where he ended up. I think it would be way to early to decide if Juan is even leaving Ganassi. So I wouldn't go ahead and say he was going to Gibbs because it could be months before the full story comes out, like with Jr. last season. Personally I don't want to see him at Gibbs, lol...but you never know.

  4. had not heard it but I think there are more than enough attitudes at JGR, they don't need montoya

  5. #18's #1 Fan: LOVE the last sentence of your edit!

  6. I don't have an answer for you but I would like to comment that I hope JGR does not offer JPM a ride unless it is in some kind of open wheel racing.  JPM is not suited for Nascar & it's not hard to see.  Ganassi can change the crew chief all he wants but until they change the driver the #42 will not be a contender.  JPM doesn't know enough about a stock car to explain what is wrong with the car & you can't tell me there isn't some kind of language barrier along the line, too.

  7. haven't seen or heard it anywhere else.  i could see the talks happening, especially with JPM unhappy at CGR, and with the possibility of tony leaving JGR.  but until the tony deal is settled, i wouldn't bet the farm on it - gibbs has other options that are as good or better for that #20 should they decide to let tony go early.

  8. "Meanwhile, there is speculation that Joe Gibbs Racing may make a run at Montoya to fill the seat Tony Stewart is expected to leave at the end of the season.(Chicago Tribune)(5-29-2008)"

I think that the key word there is speculation.  That's all it is.
