  1. yes, one has crashed in utah too. i flew last month and i was nervous, that would have put me off going.

  2. No. I'd still fly. I just pray constantly.

  3. NO,it's just like any other mode of transport crashing.

  4. I didn't like flying anyway. Just got to do it if you want to go places.

  5. It was a problem with the faulty instruments on the air line.

  6. Not in the slightest I flew last night and it was perect thing about al;l the flights that have happened since then millions and they have all been ok safest form of transport.

  7. Since I could have been on the plane (I recently took a Spanair flight to the Canaries), it has given me quite a shock and yes it has put me off.   But I'm sure I will fly again simply because I need to get from A to B.   Might be a little known airline to some of you but is Spain's 2nd biggest airline.   I don't know what the 2nd biggest US carrier is - isolationism rules.

  8. This plane crash involved an airline not well known and they say they may have cut repair costs because of the credit crunch. You are safer in a plane than in a car. Do not think anything of it.

  9. No, as it is still the quickest way to get around the world. My husband had to fly 3 hours after the news reports came in and it was a little hairy!

My heart goes out to all those who lost their life's and especially the children - I hate it when Children are involved, it is so unfair that their lives are cut short so cruelly.

  10. A few weeks ago a couple of my friends were coming back from Turkey. They thought they were never coming back alive.

The plane broke down twice on the runway, they had to wait eleven hours for the plane to be fixed and when they did get on the plane it made a few funny noises as it was taking off, the air-steward's were crying and the passengers were panicking, and when they got back home at Glasgow airport everyone was glad to get off what was one of the most scariest journey's they had to make.

That plane is still in operation!

  11. No, because think of all the millions of planes that fly everyday all over the world. It happens very rarely.

And from each crash they learn there mistakes and hopefully will never happen again!

Try watching air crash investiigation on discovery channel...its a great programme.

  12. not exactlly.because alot of acidents like that happen in foreign countries and that happened in spain and im from the US so not really.

  13. Not at all, air travel remains the safest form of travel.

Terrible disaster though, such a waste of life.

  14. no. not at all. that was a tragic terrible accident. and my deepest sympathy goes to the victims and their families.  but its one in ten million. planes take off and land without mishap a million times. its the same as getting in a car. you generally arrive safely. some people dont and its very sad .  but most people get to their destination. im happy to fly anywhere.  if i die? oh well. what can i say

  15. No but these small, cheap airlines use old planes so are always a risk. Ryan Air use old Lufthansa planes.

  16. It was a budget airline. They turn around their planes with only cursory checks and buy cheap parts from developing countries.

  17. No,because der 100's of planes takin off every day and only 1 of all dem crashed... if loads crashed on 1 day den it prob would!

  18. No, not at all. There are car crashes everyday but I still drive. It is just one of those terrible things that happen in life.

  19. When was the last time something like that happened.... ? and compare that to how many flights there are a day, and how many people survive.

Now use the same figures and relate them to driving a car or crossing the road. Hopefully now you realise there is nothing to fear about flying, at least no more than driving to the shops.

  20. No.

Think about how many flights take off globally each minute of the day?

The amount is absolutely huge. Such a small percentage of flights go wrong that it's highly highly unlikely you'll ever be involved in an incident such as Madrid.

  21. I was put off before that and no I will never fly again. I would have to be knocked out for the full journey. Prefer the Sea and her romantic secrets...

I might feel safe in the wings of a certain angel though...:)

  22. No.

  23. Yes because I was there and it has knocked me for six.

When it happens in another country you can brush it off as one of those things. Statistically it will never happen to you.

But when you see the smoke and the ambulances with your own eyes it sis a different matter.

  24. nope, things like tht happen a lot. its life really

though i got really freaked out about flying after seeing the first 'Final Distination' movie. lol

i love flying now though :D

  25. Don't like flying but may have to in a couple of months time aaahhh!

Have not flown for about fifteen years and the worst bit for me is when they shut the doors and that's it- point of no return!

More deaths on the road than in the air-it's just that there are more at once.

  26. no you hear about other crashes in trains and buses but everyone still uses them same as cars , i say when your times up that's it

  27. No, I try not to fly much anyway...But I don't get scared, what happens happens, if it's my time there's not an awful lot I can do about it!

  28. No it hasn't put me off flying, i think to put it in perspective there are hundreds of car crashes on our roads each day, yet i bet that puts no one off getting in a car. I think its more the shock factor as Plane crashes are rare and when one comes along its disturbing to see !! :)

  29. I love flying. I love the adrenaline rush as the engines power up and you are thrust back into your seat. Whoooosh!

But I would need persuading before getting on an over-aged McDonnell Douglas plane.

  30. Yes it does ,if I had another way to get back home I would but the plane is only the solution .I hate flying.

  31. Does someone getting knocked over by a car make you not want to cross the road? Does someone getting a disease make you want to surround your self with unbelievable cleanliness?

No it doesn't make me scared of flying. The chances of me dying in a plane crash are so little.
