I know they had a meeting a few weeks ago, but haven't heard anything specific.

I am pretty tired of the giant pads.

  1. What giant pads? Son, do you know how big the equipment was before the lockout?

  2. I hate giant pads too. My girlfriend uses giant pads sometimes and I find them offensive. I understand they're necessary but please keep them hidden elsewhere in the bathroom and not beside my razor.

  3. Nothingh has come down the "pike" re the goaler's equipment as yet..  If you think the pads are big, they are, even though one person on here says they were bigger pre lockout...

But by the same token, go back into the goalers from the earlier times, the Bill Durnan, Turk Broda, Frank Brimsek, Terry Sawchick era... Look how SMALL their pads were, and these were GOALERS SUPREME!!!!

The size of equipment has to be cut down in size, and put the owness and talent of the goalers as individuals and  not with the Michelin Man equipment that they have nowadays..

  4. The NHL rules state that goalie equipment is designed to protect the goalie - not give them anymore advantage of stopping the puck.  They have not taken the considerations of the competition committee yet...I am sure we will hear before training camp starts.....give the goalies time to break in new equipment.
