  1. No, I'm already an atheist when I started here.

  2. In a way.

I started praying for who ever asked. I wouldn't call myself a "prayer warrior" like some on here do, but I feel closer to God and I feel better with myself, like I made a difference in some way. Praying just gets alot of feelings out for me personally.

    Have a good day.

  3. If anything, R&S has served to strengthen my faith in Christ and my resolve to live for Him, so the effect has been a very positive one.

  4. Yes.  It's made my faith in God and my Christian beliefs even stronger.

  5. No.  It's had no real effect on the "non-religious me" either.  It has strengthened my ability to defend my atheism, but my core (dis)beliefs have not changed.

  6. Only in having to revise downward, somewhat, my estimate of humanity.

And it wasn't that high to begin with.

But, with some very honourable exceptions, what passes for thought and argument in R&S is often eye-opening, and not in a good way.

And that's apart from the sight of the English language being torn apart with hooked knives.

  7. Not really, it's opened me up to viewpoints I had never seen and people I never met, who I still have never really met, but now consider friends. it's help me question and challenge what I believe, but it has not changed it.

  8. I know for a fact that I have helped deprogram muslims on this forum. As for me, its helped move me from declared "agnostic" to "atheist".

  9. I suppose it has made me even more convinced that gods don't exist.

And it has saddened me that there are so many utterly blind people - i thought religious fundamentalism was relatively confined, but this place has convinced me that there are many, many really stupid, ignorant or uneducated people out there.

  10. All this site has done has make me hang my head in despair.

    for; English language murder.

People who claim they're intelligent but don't get simple subtext.

Bullheaded denial of anything except your view.

Constant quoting of scripture when the question requires a subjective answer.

People who just can't seem to laugh at themselves.

  11. Yes it did

And made me stronger in a way.

  12. hahahahahahah you make me laugh. First off no even as great as MJ can win a championship by themselves. Second of the pieces were in place for all of the four players you mentioned were as the bulls used MJ to bring players in. With magic it completed and started the showtime lakers, bird had Parish and Machale. Third Jordan broke his foot in his second season leaving John Paxson and Bill Cartwright to lead the team (good role players but not LEADERS) i also believe that year MJ went off on your boy (bird) in the garden scoring 63 a playoff record at the time and SWEEPING the series.

You say Jordan cares about his own personal glory but have you seen who kicks Steve Kerr the rock in 1997 finals to win the bulls 5th ring?

Also Scottie Pippen is not a leader he was a good player but not a leader, for instance when he was still with the bulls when MJ retired the first time. Phil called a game winning play in the season for Toni Koucuh and Pippen walked off the floor pissed off. Now lets look at how MJ handled this situation about a year ago. Game 6 of the NBA finals around 10 seconds left jordan takes the ball up the floor and runs the play which results in Horace Grant passing the ball to John Paxson for third consecutive NBA championship ring. Who's the really leader here now i ask you.

  13. Hi, Cynic:

It has convinced me that Satan is more powerful than supposed. You see, Judas did not know he was possessed when he fulfilled scriptures and sold Jesus for 30 pieces of silver.

Many on R&S sell their eternity for much less.

Shalom, peace is only in Jesus, Ben Yeshua

  14. Admittedly I am not of the blind faith school. YA RS has reinforced my opinion of the fallibility and infidelity of mankind. None, God nor man can be relied upon to stand firm in times of trial and need. The path to happiness remains self sufficiency. To be governed by one’s own counsel and driven by the greater good will towards our peace and liberation.

Religious zealots are as wayward and ungodly as rabid atheists. The herd mentality leads mortals to doom and ruination. Intelligence in modern times is the ability to talk a lot, in barley coherent sentences, loudly and harshly, thereby silencing your opponent to a withdrawal to safeguard dignity and self respect.

Life remains a h**l, here in RS and in the world in general. Feminists and insufficiently mothered men are the root cause of all evil. The term atheist is a misnomer for the soulless victims of western democracy seeking to give allegiance to the state and media, whilst seeking voicing complaint at Gods threshold. I try to understand but have found the better ranks to be insufferable and a tad moronic sheep, a testimony of Gods inability to vent his wrath in the appropriate direction.

Man cannot learn more than what he already knows. Each has his imaginative and intellectual portion that he may reconcile with or battle against. Yet escape not. That is the nature of life and the laws of karma.

  15. HAHA....only made me laugh

  16. Yes.  It has convinced me that most Christians are, indeed, insane.  Not just crazy, but insane.  Well, maybe not most, but an awful lot of them.
