It's about time that the people in other nations that keep up the rhetoric about global warming, get off our *** and make plans that effect all nations, not just the United States.

  If you take time to read some of these proposals regarding this issue, the United States being one of the worlds largest industrial producers, or at least used to be before the influx of Chinese products, is supposed to give up the manufacturing of almost all domestic products, and rely on imported good s from developing nations ,who will be excluded from any and all pollution controls, and emission limits.

  This idea, dreamed up by foreign idiots, will cripple our already near jobless society.

  Even the worlds most advanced and brilliant scientists can't agree on this global warming issue, and whether it's totaly man made, or one of the normal heatring and cooling cycles the world has been going through since it's formation.

  So, for self preservation, until such time as it is proven without any doubt, and all countries agree to even the playing field and all live by the same rules, I say to h**l with them.

The left has this fantasy about GWB sitting in his meetings plotting with his big oil buddies about destroying the world.  It makes for a good Austin Powers episode but it is rediculous.  There seems to be a childish view of how the world really works.  It is interesting how susceptible the left is to chicken little scare tactics.  They are so eager to believe the worst that they eagerly swallow anything which makes humankind, industry, free markets, the west, etc. look bad.

Yes, Bush finally started admiting that fossil fuels are maybe involved several months ago.

Most Americans woke a couple of decades ago, but with a goverment completely unresponsive to the citizenry, what we could do about it was limited.

I notice that the Chinese immediately said they couldn't and wouldn't meet the same targets so the whole article is pointless. Unless you want to argue that China doesn't count as an economic or industrial power. If they continue to grow at the same rate, any cuts we make won't materially change CO2 emissions worldwide.
