Has the USA become the Russia of old? It feels to me like the USA is becoming the Russia of the old. Socialism, government telling the people that they can't not leave without a passport, the overtaking of other countries. Is it just me?

  1. Its the new crumbling USSR that's printing money insanely fast until its bankrupt.

  2. No, not even a comparison.  Yes, there are socialistic qualities of the United States that unfairly distribute wealth, but to compare it to the USSR?  Not even close.  People are allowed to still speak freely, move freely, spend money as they wish on what they wish without fear of being sent to a gulag in Siberia for dissent.  The USSR persecuted a lot of it's own people.  Stalin even positioned himself to be a god-like figure in people's every day lives.  That country was a dictatorship through and through.  You may not agree with many of America's policies and laws, but this is not apples to apples.

  3. not if you refer to the Tsars and Stalin.
