  1. the yankees are coming back, for sure. the have their hard times but so does every other team. and then what happens? they make a comback

  2. As a Yankee fan I'm supposed to be optimistic.  However after losing to teams like Baltimore, (team you have to beat to contend), and now Texas, not to mention Joba now with arm problems, the future looks pretty bleak.  It has been an extremely disappointing season for several reasons.  Steinbrenner relyed too much on his unproven young pitchers (Huges & Kennedy), none of which came through this season.  The hitting have been inconsistant as well.  They may have to write this season off and think about regrouping for 2009.  I have a feeling this season may cost Cashman his job as unfair as that might be.

  3. Their losing everyone too. They just lost Joba?!

    Finished!

  4. how can you say a team is out of it on AUGUST 6TH! last year they were 6 back of the division lead and 3.5 back of the wildcard on august 6th and they made the playoffs and they have enough veteran expierence that knows how to win in august and september.

  5. Only 3 games behind in the wild card race, so the Yankees, who may be down but they aren't out out the race.  I recall last season when they were farther behind than this & all the haters said they were finished & who won the wild card spot, the Tigers, I don't think so cause their fans were talking all last season how they were going to win division & that didn't happen & all of sudden they were saying they will win the wild card spot over the Yankees & they missed that too.  I wouldn't count out the Yankees, especially in August.

  6. The season ends September 28th...

The team that plays in Tampa Bay are the Tampa Bay Rays (no devils!)

Now that I've busted chops, yes. The Yankees are finished- and thank god!

  7. It is only August 6th. The Yankees are 6.5 games behind in the division and only 3.5 in the Wild Card. There is a lot of baseball left to be played.

The Yanks have had their struggles and the recent Joba situation doesn't help any. But it is WAYY too early to count them out.

  8. They are 3 games out of the wildcard spot.

Your hatred of the yankees has blinded your commen sense.

Anyone who would count out a team with that much talent has their head wedge way up their ***

  9. I'm pretty sure it has and I wouldn't be surprised if the blue jays get to 3rd in the AL east.

  10. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the mighty Sox behind the Rays as well? The season ends in October, we'll see who's left standing then.
