  1. My husband and I live on a permaculture farm.  We grow 90% of the food we eat, ourselves.  We can grow and produce our own fuel for our vehicles.  We grow our own wood to heat our home.  We pride ourselves on our independence, and self sufficiency.

We view 99.9% of the humans in industrialized countries as pathetically domesticated.

If most humans couldn't find food at the trough (grocery stores, and fast food) they would starve to death.

If they didn't have someone else providing heat to their home (via electric, oil, propane, whatever) they would freeze to death.

If they didn't have someone else providing clean drinking water to their faucet, they would drink dirty water, and die horribly of disease.

Most humans are pathetically domesticated, and need the same care and consideration a farmer has to provide to his more stupid livestock....water, food, shelter, and protection from predators and the elements.

The domestication of the human male AND female has gone way too far.

  2. It's not so much domestication as expectation. People expect a man to be what he is not. I read that link you gave in another answer and it seemed ridiculous - nonsensical article titles that mirror women's studies.

No matter what the degree of domestication, there are still many parts of countries where civilization hasn't even been reached.

  3. Not far enough.  They're still capable of living independently.  If they were properly domesticated they would be unable to survive without a woman.

  4. It's just right. A cute little apron would help, though.

  5. Too far and I would call it the feminizing of the human male.

  6. It's up to men, as men, to make sure that it does NOT go too far. Obviously you have to keep your woman happy, which entails a degree of domestication, but if you let the creature comforts and access to regular carnal relations and home cooked meals turn you into a sissy, it's your own fault, not some sort of feminist conspiracy.

  7. YES, YES, YES!!!!!!!!

  8. Are you suggesting that the human male was once a wild animal?
