Has the eligibilty to apply for permanent resident in Uk changed for work permit holders.?

As I have completed 4 yrs and 7 months. does the point system apply as i am in hospitality. Can someone advise me? Tnx Sunil

  1. You can apply for indefinite leave to remain after you have been here for a continuous period of 5 years as a work permit holder. You will have to pass the 'life in the UK' test before you apply and the earliest you can apply is 28 days before your 5 years are up.
