  1. i dont think there is any true way to know that... but i would tend to think yes...

    the problem here in the us that we face is since the damns have been open (speaking of American hourly wages as the water behind the d**n) we are slowly equaling out to foreign competition such as china

    so if at one time chineese citizens received  would have received $.50 per day for a wage and today they are going upwards of $2 to $3 per day and in some cases even more.

    while wages in the us are going down a job in the 70's might have brought $20 per hr today may bring $12- $15 per hr...

    the biggest issue is the US's productivity has shrunk all in all... remember during this amount of time populations are growing in both counties which means it demands that your economy expand to include the new consumers into your figures...

    the other figure to look at is the currencies
