the tenets of this once proud and vibrant party with the rank and file of the party now splintering into the democratic or other many independent parties?----Could the result be a good thing with the possibility that a strong 3rd party could rise and stem the headlong charge of our political process-- into a more socialistic or one world type government?

  1. I doubt you will see that strong third party you are talking about.   Well at least not in my lifetime.  The PNAC has destroyed the GOP, what was known as the Grand Old Party has become the Great Oil Party.

  2. I believe the writing is on the wall.  We are headed toward a socialistic globalist society, and part of the blame can fall on the Republican Party.  Compromise after compromise has diminished one of the last bastions of morality and true democracy in favor of Nanny State mentality and situation ethics.  Anyone who disagrees with the 'new world view' is considered intolerant.  Just consider the fact that John McCain (whom I will vote for) is the nominee and that the other potential candidates were too 'religious' and their strong moral stands  and conservative economics were condemned.

  3. I believe so

I am a liberal leaning independent, but if the republican party actually came through on ANYTHING that they stood for (smaller government, less spending, no national debt...) I would vote for them in a heartbeat.

    Alas, not this year.

  4. I was almost with you there until the last sentence.  I don't take anyone too lightly who advocates a one-world government.  Governments are already too big and powerful.  The last thing humanity needs is one government with a few people controlling it.

The last thing I want is living under socialism where I lose the right to the sweat of my brow.
