Has the meaning of a turn signal changed????????

I have noticed a lot more lately when I try to speed up and get over to another lane and properly put my turn signal on, the other cars like to speed up as to not let me over. Is this a new thing I have not gotten clued in on?

Yeah, sorry you did get the memo.

Seriously, the turn signal is just a "gotcha, I'm in your lane" because if you were to signal too early, other cars will not let you in.

And it's been this way in BIG nasty cities (like my NYC) for decades.  Sorry it has spread like the claps.

DEPENDS ON THE CAR YOU DRIVE.  SMALL CARS DON,T LIKE TO BE OVERTAKEN,  AND LARGE CARS DON,T WANT TO BE PASSED BY FIATS ETC.

BUY A TAXI THEY DON,T HAVE INDICATORS.
