They seem heavily anti-Russian, despite the fact that it was GEORGIA who broke the cease fire killing Russian troops.

  1. What media coverage? Seriously.

  2. Why go to the trouble of explaining what really happened when you can show some footage, blame Russia, and then get a few more minutes on Edwards being a slimeball before cutting to the commercial?

  3. There's hardly any coverage on the conflict at all. Some of it is fair and some of it is anti-Russian.

  4. No, you're misinformed.  No wonder you think it's unfair coverage.

  5. When has the media ever been fair... they are really just a bunch of paparazzi, plying their trade however they want.. facts never get in their way.

No respect anymore for the american press... they should all be ashamed!

  6. Not fair or accurate:

I GUESS ITS A SECRET WAR.

  8. SP is right! All I've heard about the past few days is John Edwards, China and Bernie Mac. Granted, the Olympics is big and Bernie Mac's death is a tragedy, but there is a shooting war going on with one of our allies and a strong supporter.

I have not heard any of the new agencies blame either nation for the conflict starting yet. The only time I have heard Russia being blamed is for invading Georgia proper and bombing targets in Georgia (both military and commercial). Besides, Georgia had no cease-fire with Russia, the cease-fire was with the South Ossetian separatists. Georgia attacked rebels, something they were totally justified in doing. England was justified to attempt to put down the American Revolution, why shouldn't Georgia be allowed to try and retake South Ossetia? Russia claims that their peace-keeping forces were attacked in the offensive, but it is no secret that Russia wanted to annex South Ossetia and potentially other former Soviet states like Georgia.
