  1. No. Mankind has improved. We just talk about the negative stuff now more (which is a good thing) and so are more aware of it. Humans have been far more violent to each other in the past then they are today. Remember the Romans and their open to the public murder rituals (the colliseum), violent attacks of entire villages, towns and cities, slavery, the Inquisition, etc.. And let's not forget that there was a time when women and children were considered property and you could pretty much do whatever you wanted to them. None of these things would be acceptable today.

    The murder rate has not risen but in fact has decreased in some areas and for the most part has leveled off even in America (the most violent 1st World country).
