Has the off season benifited these teams?

clippers - sure they lose brand and maggette but in return they now have baron davis, camby and ricky davis ... they now have a strong starting 5 and are beggining to look like having some depth. im interested to see how this turns out because theyre basically a completely new team.

knicks - new coach, the hope of europe (he has already been compared to shawn marion)

warriors - i think theyve done badly, they lose baron davis and sign beidrens to a stupid contract that he isnt worth???

nuggets - WHAT THE?? here have camby in return we just want a kick in the groin.

hornets - signing posey adds some experince to a super talented young team, good move i say.

teams that need to do something in my opinion are pistons, mavs and rockets ... all really good teams but with current rosters just cant beat teams like lakers, boston or the spurs.

Clippers - Dont know they have picked up some risky moves

Knicks - New Coach, but still have lousy contracts

Warriors - How is signing Biedrins bad the guy led the league in field goal percentage and is 3rd based on rebounds per minuted played also holding the record for rebounds in a single game last season.  They might be hurt for a season or two but with the rookies they should be in it for some time.

Nuggets - Ouch an injury on any player ruins their chances

Hornets - Didnt keep a good draft pick.  Overpayed Posey

If the Lakers really want to win they need to do something about their bench but I dont know what they will do they are already well into the luxury tax line

the biggest winners of the off season are the 76ers and the Raptors. They both got so much stronger and will be in position to at least challenge Detroit as the #2 team in the East.

Of the teams you mentioned, I guess I will give the edge to the Hornets, they just added another vets that can give them fire power off the bench.

The Clippers lost Brand and Maggette, but gained Davis and Camby, so in reality they haven't got better, probably worse.

Clippers did a great job, adding high quality players, and players who have proved that they can beat a 1 seed as an 8 seed. Also a Defensive Player Of The Year. They are now a deeper team, and future contenders.

The Knicks did a considerable job, Hiring D'Antoni and drafting Galinari, but they didn't solve their biggest problem, the cap. Once they trade away some of the most pay-check demanding players, I'll say they made a great move.

The warriors did good and bad. The good being they signed Corey Magette, and resigned Monta Ellis. Both arguably future all-stars. The bad was signing Biedrens to the $60+ million contract. It was a gamble playing a average double double guy 10 million a season, it could pay off, but for now it's a bad move in my book. But the signings of Corey and Monte were monster moves.

The Nuggets actually made a good move in my opinion. Camby is getting old, their cap was out of hand, they killed two birds with one stone. They signed new players, and grew a bit deeper. But Iverson is still too big of a liability. They need to trade him off so Anthony can lead his team like intended. He has the potential to be a great leader, but he doesn't have the chance with a veteran like AI on the team.

The Hornets, wow, congratulation. Signing Posey was the best SINGLE move of the off-season. Not only did they weaken one of their biggest competitors, but now their team is at least 2 times deeper, and now holds experience. I do think this past one was a fluke season though. So they will more or less stay put, or drop from last year.
