The Republican base, the NRA and 72 million gun owners, the entire Bible Belt, and countless millions of soccer mom's all woke up yesterday with a renewed interest and determination to elect McCain/Palin. Will this be the biggest Republican landslide in history?

  1. *chuckles*

I know I went from *blah* about this election to *hmmmm, could be most interesting* ... and I know I've seen a lot of other Republicans do the same.

    Very savvy move, Senator McCain.

  2. Here's what has to worry the Donkeys.  In 2004, the polls were said to be insanely close, but giving Kerry the edge.  When Election Day was finished, GW Bush got more votes than any Presidential candidate in history.....And the exit polls showed that the reason was because the evangelicals turned out in force.

Until this last week, there was a feeling that the GOP was not as excited about their ticket as the Donkeys...so there was a question about whether they'll show up and vote.  Now they are totally excited and energized....and I can tell you the evangelicals plan on voting.  That's the true impact of Sarah Palin.

  3. No.  It means that McCain is concerned that the GOP base doesn't trust him.

  4. Probably, McCain had two plans for his VP and picking Palin was a smart move cause she able to help him get the votes he needs and also if they when after 4 year she might run for office cause McCain also said he will only do 1 term in office. If Obma took Hillary he would have a better chance to win but he did not. McCain/Palin ticket is smart cause one big area housewife would like to see a woman with some more power and Palin as VP will get some of that power

  5. No, because if they're still voting for McCain after the last eight years, they'll never wake up!

  6. let's hope so

  7. You must be joking? McCain has voted with President Bush 90% of the time over the past 8 years, and President Bush's approval ratings with the American people are at a staggering 28%, rivaling Nixon's before Nixon RESIGNED. Anyone educated will realize that McCain and Palin are not the right thing for this country, those well above the middle class who seek further tax cuts for their luxury lifestyles will undoubtedly vote McCain in November, but anyone in the middle class who would throw away their vote to McCain could only be uneducated, uninformed, or a m*******t. If it is a Republican landslide we will truly have become Ochlocracy and Federalist #10 fears will finally be seen.

  8. Dream on.

The NRA was never asleep, but they are not the entire electorate.

Not all soccer moms will like Gov. Gidget.  Many want the option of abortion if they so choose.

  9. How can anyone ever voter for her!  Did you see her in her living room sitting on the skin of a grizzly bear with the shell of a king crab on her coffee table? How creapy.

  10. That's right Babe, I am here and I am here to stay!

  11. Not so much.

In the 2 days since McCain's announcement, the daily tracking polls have remained the same, with Obama getting a 4 to 8 point convention bounce.

You guys seem to forget that this was tried with Ferrarro in '84, everyone was excited at first, and then people started asking questions, and she imploded. Mondale lost 49 states

  12.   I think its going to be a watershed moment in American politics everyone i talk to is sick and tired of the divisive tactics subversison and utter hypocricy of the Democrats. They are tired of being made to feel guilty with the use of political correctness and the use of words like racist and bigot.  The icing on the cake has been the Democrats nomination of Obama an underqualified hand picked puppet of the left that they have tried to force down our throats again using threats like racism if we dont.--------------People are sick and tired of partisian politics in Washington and the state level  we want a government that works for all of us not just a narrow segment of the population.  McCain/Palin will make some heads roll and shake up the status quo in Washington.  So far McCain has played Obama like a drum and the beat will go on till he submits to the will of the people come November.

  13. hahahahaha

  14. Hahahahahaha...hardly. 72 million? Come on, the democratic party has twice that number! Haha, tool. Peace!

  15. I would hope that the awakened "sleeping giant" would realize that the Donkey and the Elephant do NOT have anything to offer for AMERICA.

For REAL change, vote for the NOT a Democrat and NOT a Republican.

    Think about it!

    and as we all know

    the emperor is NAKED!

    .

  16. I don't know if the Republicans have been sleeping, but I know they are dreaming if they think Palin will win it. Getting the faithful excited will not make the independents thrilled.

And if you mean millions of dollars worth of homes crushed at the base of a cliff in utter and total destruction, yes, this will be a GOP landslide.

Do you know there at about 75 cities in the U.S. with a higher population than the state of Alaska? It is harder to become the vice-chair of the county commissioners in Raleigh, N.C., than it is governor of the 49th state.

  17. YES!

  18. Yes

    McCain/Palin08

  19. well you must still be asleep cause you are having a crazy dream
