Has the texas driving age been moved to 18 if you were born after 1992?

I was born in 1993, and all of my friends tell me that I won't be able to drive until I'm 18, but i've searched online and can't find anything proving this to be true.

did the law never get passed?

thats just a rumor going around. it went around in new jersey too

The minimum legal driving age in Texas is 15 years of age-no exceptions. Texas Transportation Code 521.222.
