Yes, in 1980 at the summer games in Moscow. The US won no gold medals and no other medals either because that country boycotted those Olympics in protest of the Soviet Union's invasion of Afghanistan the previous year.

Yup, its happened before. We had a good run, but with China breeding and grooming its atheletes, they'll probably stay on top.

I'd still rather have freedom than the most gold. More power to 'em.

Don't bring that up.  We're Winning because we have more losing, er I mean 2nd and 3rd place medals.  Just ask any US newspaper or television station.

yes, the germans in the early part of the 20th century and the soviets won more than the us in several olympics
