i think its redicuous when the weather channel gives the 7 day forecast for my area in pennsylvania and they show thunderstorms for the entire week every week meanwhile they are dead wrong 80% of the time, whenever they say theres going to be severe thunderstorms it rains for like 5 mins and then the sun breaks through the clouds and the weather is beautiful, i think the weather channel sucks, also i check the radar map alot when they say its going to thunderstorm, yet the radar shows no storm at all, does the weather channel do this with your area?

  1. Yes, it does seem to occur more and more often. That happens to me a lot whenever I believe what they have to say. I've had similar situations in which thunderstorms have been forecasted for the whole seven days. Only one of those days had a thunderstorm. Every other day was either partly cloudy or sunny. That was years ago, and I learned to turn to a more reliable source. That would be the National Weather Service. They are the best by far.

By the way, when there is nothing on the radar and there are forecasted thunderstorms, that means that they can develop at anytime.

I recommend getting paying more attention to the NWS forecasts. Plus, the NWS has plenty of useful information, like watches and warnings.
