  1. Dude5867 is wrong.   A single point  can be scored by a kick-off going through the end zone.

        Haven't ever heard of any  1 - 0  games though either N F L ,  A F L , or Canadian League.


  2. I don't ever recall a Canadian Football League game ending 1-0. It's certainly possible, since any ball kicked into the end zone is one point unless it's run out.

    I'm sure there have been very low-scoring games in mud or rain, ones in which there were no touchdowns scored. I seem to remember reading about games in the 1930s and 1940s with scores like 4-3, all the points by punters, not even a field goal, under horrendous conditions.

  3. As I recall there was a game in the 1960s' betwwen Ottawa and Montreal that ended 1-0.
