According to one web source, this was considered for 2006-2007, but I can't find anything that verifies if it was adopted as a rule.

  1. Hi there

No there has been no changes made by f.i.v.b or any organization

    Anton South Africa

  2. No there wasn't any rule change like that.

But they were considering that change along with adding the option for a second libero.  Not exactly sure what happened to the consideration.

  3. In USAV and FIVB you cannot reserve BUT, when playing 14 or under club or school volleyball, you can let the ball drop and then precede to redo your serve, although you have only 4 seconds to serve, instead of 8.

  4. No, but the ball can hit the net and go over.

  5. not a far was i know

  6. About seven years ago there was a rule that allow a second serve if the ball touches the rope (and go on the opposite field) or if the serving player don't want to hit the ball after throwing it up (he must let the ball hit the ground near him, but outside of the field). This rule has been removed when "rally-point system" has replaced "ball change system". This year (2006-2007) i had not noticed any rules like this on the italian tournament.
